Intended Audience:	The HPSS User Forum is for the HPSS community comprised of collaboration development, deployment, and industry members.

Objectives

• Bring our community together to share experiences, questions, problems, knowledge, plans, etc.
• Provide HPSS collaboration, software development, support, and related industry updates.
• Review and update burning issues.

Registration Fee:

• $450 US - before registration deadline.
• $550 US - after registration deadline.

Your HUF registration fee will include:

• Monday happy hour.
• Morning beverages, lunch, and snacks throughout the day Tuesday through Thursday and morning beverages on Friday.
• An evening dinner.

Fees for the HUF do not include the following:

• Meals, other than lunch, and snacks throughout the day.
• Lodging.
• Travel Expenses.
• Transportation.
• Anything not included above.

People planning to attend the HUF should make travel arrangements ahead of time. Please see contact information below if you have questions about travel, directions, and other logistical information.

Registration, Payment and Cancellation Instructions:

1. Please email the information in the registration form below to Marsha Hagner, Marsha.Hagner@ibm.com, on or before the registration deadline stated above. Please see contact information below if you have any questions.
   
   
2. Payment methods are: (1) company issued purchase order, (2) company issued check, (3) credit card (American Express, Visa, or MasterCard), or (4) wire transfer. Please indicate the payment method on the registration form below. Based on the payment method, additional payment instructions will be provided to you. Payment must be received no later than two weeks before the HUF begins.
   
   If you’re with IBM and plan to attend, please let us know and we’ll share other cost recovery options.
   
   
3. Cancellation Policy: We really hope you do not have to cancel. Cancellations received two weeks before the HUF begins are subject to a cancellation fee of 25%. If there is a need to cancel, please notify Marsha.
   
   
4. No-Show Policy: People who registered for the HUF and fail to attend are subject to a no-show fee of 100%; we’re sorry we missed you.

What to expect with the 2023 HUF

We are going back to basics with this event like last year. We are going to focus on sharing information and experiences related to HPSS without other extracurricular activities that we all have thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated with many past HUFs. We know those activities are valuable, too - they give us an opportunity to see special places unique to the hosting location, provide time to network, reconnect with friends, and talk more deeply about one of our favorite things - HPSS! We are all for doing those things. We are sorry, though, we do not have time to include that level of complexity or expense into the event this year. If we have interest from industry partners to host an outside activity, we will work to incorporate it into the week.

The highlight of the 2023 HUF will be all of you who attend! Please come.

Social Distancing and our Meeting Room:

The conference room is large enough to accommodate 90 people under normal circumstances. We understand concerns about social distancing and being around other people. We will do what we can to arrange the room in a way that supports social distancing, and we will do what we can to make sure people are comfortable participating. At this time, masks will not be required but attendees are welcome to wear one.

Attending HUF Sessions:

When you are here to attend the HUF, please be aware of how you’re feeling. While we understand you will have gone through much time, effort, and expense to be here, if you do not feel well or something feels different, please consider skipping the event and not coming into the conference room with all the other attendees. Everyone else will be very appreciative of your sensitivity and consideration managing risks of spreading a possible infection. We will make all HUF materials available once the HUF is over.
