From the HPSS Health and Status window (Figure 6-1 in the HPSS Installation Guide) select the Operations menu and click on the Delete Fileset option. The Identify A Fileset window will be displayed (Figure 4-3 Identify Fileset Window). This window is used to identify the fileset that is to be deleted. Enter either the Fileset ID or the Fileset Name . If the fileset to be deleted is an HPSS-only fileset, click on the Get NFS Info button, otherwise click on the Get DMG Info button. If the Get NS Info button was clicked, the Name Server Fileset Information window (Figure 4-4 Name Server Fileset Information Window) will be displayed, and if the Get DMG Info button was clicked, the DMAP Gateway Fileset Information window (Figure 4-5 DMAP Gateway Fileset Information Window) will be displayed. In either case, click the Delete Fileset button located at the bottom of the window to delete the fileset. Only empty filesets may be deleted from HPSS.
Refer to each window's help file for more information on the individual fields and buttons as well as the supported operations available from each window.
The /opt/hpss/bin/delete_fset utility may also be used to delete filesets.
